This recipe is very similar to medu vada recipe. We love vada sambar a lot so sometimes I make this simple urad dal vada instead of medu vada.
Steps to make Vada with pancake:
- Firstly take a large bowl add Singada flour add salt some water make thick batter
- Take mashed potatoes in a large bowl add all ingredients and salt mix well make medium size tikkis
- Heat ghee in a kadhai medium flame Deep tikki in Singhada batter, deep fryin medium flame until golden brown colour.
- Soaked sabudana and Samak rice for 4 hours take a mixture jar and make thick batter, take batter in a large bowl, add salt, curd black pepper mix well and rest for 20 minutes
- Heat non stick pan Grease ghee make small pancakes
- Serve with Red and Green chutney.
This recipe is very similar to medu vada recipe. We love vada sambar a lot so sometimes I make this simple urad dal vada instead of medu vada. The main difference between medu vada. The recipes shared in these books are more Kutchhi in origin. I had assumed Ghaayda to be a dialect word for Vada until I see leftover rice pancakes we all call Shekla mentioned as Ghaayda in a mighty book on Palanpuri Jain Cuisine.
