The ingredients needed to make Shingara Kheer:
- Take 500 gm shingara
- Get 1 ltr Milk
- Prepare 2 tbsp badam powder
- Get 1 tbsp doodh masala
- Prepare 1 cup sugar
- Prepare as needed Dryfruits optional
Aloo Shingara, Kolija Shingara, Vegetable shingara. Singhare ka halwa Shingada Pithacha Sheera is a halwa/sheera recipe made of shingada i.e. chestnut flour. Made during Navratri vrat, this is an easy and quick recipe. Like most of the halwa/sheera recipe, this too, is very simple and needs minimum ingredients.
Steps to make Shingara Kheer:
- First pressure cook shingara for 5-6 whistle and remove skin.
- Now take peeled of shingara in mixer and make fine puree of it.
- Later take 1 tbsp ghee and add this paste and fry it till it leaves surface. Add sugar and badam powder.
- Now add doodh masala and with the help of whisker gently pour milk and whisk it. Make sure there will be no lumps. Now boil it till it get 2/3rd. Add pinch of salt and serve it hot
Made during Navratri vrat, this is an easy and quick recipe. Like most of the halwa/sheera recipe, this too, is very simple and needs minimum ingredients. Kheerer Chop or Khirer chop is a Bengali delicacy. There are so many chop recipes in Bengal cuisine and most of them savoury cutlets. When I saw chop in sweets, I was tempted to try.
