Add the oats, almonds, dried cherries, protein powder, chia seeds and cinnamon to an airtight container or bowl and mix well. Pour the almond milk over the dry mixture and add the almond extract, almond butter and maple syrup. Add the frozen cherries and stir them through the mixture. Once stirred add more milk little by little until you achieve desired consistency.
- Top the cooked oats with the cherry compot by spooning it over and then garnish with a few flaked almonds, you can gently heat the almonds in a dry pan if you prefer them toasted. Enjoy!
