- Wash and peel the Lauki and boil it in a pressure cooker. When boil keep aside. Heat oil in a pan. Once the oil is heated, add green chilli and let the crackle for a few seconds.
- To that add onion and sauté it for 3 minutes. Then add ginger and garlic paste and cook it for 3 minutes. Then add tomatoes and cooked it well for another 2 minutes.
- Then add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, roasted cumin powder and salt to it and mix it well. To that add boiled mashed Lauki and cook it for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Cover the pan and cook it till the oil separates from the sides of the pan. Then add lemon juice to it.
- Your Lauki bharta is ready. Serve hot in a bowl and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
